Cecil Steakhouse ~

“NYC Restaurant Week” is occurring right now in New York City with plenty of fabulous restaurants to dine and satisfy your appetite. It started on January 21st and will end February 8th. It includes special prix-fixe menus starting at $26 for 2-course lunch and $42 for 3-course dinner.

My friend Nell and I chose Cecil Steakhouse located in Harlem, New York for dinner. The restaurant had a jazz-inspired look and a very pleasant, soothing ambiance. The staff was great and attended to us the entire time we were there. Even our server Lateef gave us a tour of their other restaurant, Minton’s Playhouse, after our meal. It’s right next door, and it has live music!

For our dinner, we selected the “Argentinean Empanadas” and “Sautéed Shrimp” for appetizers, “NY Strip” and “Fresh Grilled Salmon” for entrées, and “Caramel Flan” and “Tres Leches” for dessert. That is the only two options for dessert they have. The food was cooked really well, and the flavors were delicious! My steak was perfect! We also tried some alcohol beverages too! The drinks were made so good that I had to give compliments to the bartender! I had their signature drink, “The Cecil!” Make sure you order that one! Trust me you will like it!

Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! My friend and I enjoyed it. It was a good pick!
