DENVER ~

Heard many good things about Denver, so I ventured there to see for myself. However, I didn’t get a chance to explore and hike in the Rocky Mountains, but there is always next time! Here are some things I discovered to do and check out while in Denver:

Make sure you go to 16th Street in the downtown area. That is where most of all the action is located. Nice restaurants and stores for shopping.

I’m always reminded of home no matter where I go. My friends and I discovered a great southern restaurant that’s very close to the taste of New Orleans. Definitely, try to get a bite of the food at Bayou Bob’s if you can!

You can take a trolley for $5 to site-see (It’s very short, but it gives you something to do; however I would recommend they extend the route) or go tubing in the river like the locals.

There is a nice nightlife in Denver.

And let me address what I know some are thinking when it comes to things to do in Denver, yes marijuana is legal; and there are dispensaries everywhere. Most dispensaries bare a green cross to let you know what they are. I took a tour of two. They’re just like a souvenir or candy shop. Jars of weed everywhere. It was very surreal and shocking.

If you’re looking for a quiet and laid back getaway, then Denver is the place to go. I really enjoyed myself. I will be back to experience the skiing and hiking in the mountains for sure!
