Liberty State Park ~

Now that the weather is warming up, a great place to go to for various events, kayak eco tours, riding bikes with friends, a picnic with the family, or just time to oneself while taking in all the nature is Liberty State Park, located in Jersey City, NJ.

While there, you will have an incredible view of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the skyline of New York City. There is also a 9/11 memorial called “Empty Sky” dedicated to 749 New Jerseyans, and you can catch a ferry to visit Ellis Island if you want. There is a Liberty Science Center with nine exhibition galleries, and the nation’s largest IMAX dome theatre right next to the park as well.

I went to the park with a blanket, some snacks, and an excellent book to read not so long ago. The serene setting of the park was enjoyable. I will certainly go again throughout the summer.

It’s open from 6 a.m till 10 p.m. Here is the website: https://www.state.nj.us/dep/parksandforests/parks/liberty.html

Fantastic summer activity for you and the family!
