Yayoi Kusama & Arshile Gorky

I’ve been hearing about Yayoi Kusama’s artwork for quite some time now. Yayoi most recent work, Festival of Life, has been all over social media. So, I was excited to hear that her artwork would be on display at two of David Zwirner galleries located in uptown and downtown Manhattan, New York City. Unfortunately, I didn’t get chance to see the main attraction, Festival of Life with her well-known My Eternal Soul series, the mirror rooms, and the large-scale flower sculptures; because the line was around the block. Plus, I went on the last day, and they cut the line at 2 p.m. at the downtown location. I was very bummed out about it; however, I did get a chance to see her Infinity Net paintings and another art exhibit by Arshile Gorky that was right next door. It helped a little bit with the pain I felt inside from missing the other exhibition. Hopefully, I will get see it someday. Maybe at the museum, they just open in Tokyo, Japan with all her artwork! I’m a lover of art, so I will make a way to see it!
