NYC Winter Lantern Festival ~
The NYC Winter Lantern Festival took place from November 19th to January 12th at Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden in Staten Island, New York. This family-friendly festival included eight acres of lights, interactive exhibits, live cultural shows, and much more. It was opened every day at 5 pm except on Mondays and Tuesdays; the festival closed on those days. The tickets were $25 per person, I believe, and even cheaper for children.
I got a deal on Groupon for $10, but there was a catch! You could only enter the festival at 8:30 pm for whatever day you chose. I felt an hour to explore was more than enough to enjoy. There were over 1000 lanterns on display with incredible figures of luminescent art. It truly was a whimsical world of lights and the creativity was one of a kind!
Hopefully, the NYC Winter Lantern Festival will be back next year for all who missed it. It is certainly a must-do for families, and I would recommend this event to anyone.
