Pineau des Charentes Party ~

I was invited to an industry event from a colleague of mine on Monday. It was a Pineau des Charentes party, with selected wines and cocktails for tastings. I had never heard of this brand before, but after attending the event, I am now a fan!

Pineau des Charentes is a French fortified wine that has freshly pressed grape must or unfermented grape juice with added Cognac as its ingredients. You can use it as an aperitif, digestive, and to mix with cocktails.

Melissa and I tried quite a few drinks while we were there. My favorite was the “Paul Marie & Fils,” “Hardy – Le Coq D’or” (white and Rosé), “Château de Beaulon,” “Bache Gabrielsen,” and “Pineau Fino” cocktail. You will not break your bank with these Pineau wines either. I recommend you to try all of them. Indeed, I will certainly buy some for my home.
