Southern Delight ~
If you are looking to experience some southern delight, then Delaplane, Virginia is where you want to go! This area has numerous wineries, vineyards, and cellars to explore. You will undoubtedly get a kick out of driving through all the back roads to get to some of these places I have listed.
Prices vary at each winery, but you can find discounts. Moreover, some wineries and vineyards sell food, but you might want to pack a lunch with all the tasting you will be doing. Trust me; you will need something substantial to soak up all the alcohol! The provided crackers and cheese will not be enough! Haha!

Barrel Oak Winery (BOW)
Barrel Oak is a very family and dog-friendly winery! As a matter of fact, the theme of the winery is all about dogs! You will see pictures on the walls, on the menus, and on wine bottles. It has a great outdoor scenic area as well. The tasting was $7.95 (per person).
Blue Valley Vineyard And Winery
Blue Valley was lovely and sophisticated. It’s a terrific place for weddings and receptions. I chose their “Rosé and Red Wine Tasting Flight” for $14 (per person) which included one rosé and seven red wines. The white wine is $10 (per person) and for a full tasting is $20 (per person).

The Virginia Wine Pass gives you discounts on tours, tastings, and wine purchases at multiple wineries throughout Virginia. It cost $69.00 and is valid for one year. They also have an app!
Cobbler Mountain Cellars
Cobbler certainly had a warm, cozy feel to it. It was $10 for the Cider Bar Tasting, and my favorite was the “Wild Blackberry Hop.”
Aspen Dale Winery At The Barn
Aspen Dale makes you feel like you are right at home; that southern comfort! Just look at the layout of the place. Try their wines and then take in the fresh air outside while you look at the incredible views. Their wine tasting is $10 (per person).
