State Fair Meadowlands ~
The State Fair Meadowlands took place at the fairgrounds of MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on June 21st – July 8th. This carnival is an annual summer event with tons of attractions, exhibits, food vendors, and rides.
Parking was free Monday-Wednesday and Thursday- Sunday for $5. The admission was around $11 to $12 but varied on selected days. However, that price did not include the tickets to get on the rides; individually they were a $1 each. Another option they had was an Adult Mega Pass for $30-$36 (For a child, same price) which covered everything. You could also pay an additional $15 for a Fast Pass to cut the line to get on rides quicker.
I chose to go on July 3rd to experience the fair and to see the fireworks for the 4th Of July holiday. After paying the $12 admission fee and seeing all that was in-store once I entered, I realized I should have just paid for the Adult Mega Pass. I guarantee you will not want to get on just a few rides, so it makes sense to get the pass. It will save you money in the long run because most rides cost 5 or 6 tickets.
I enjoyed myself! I saw a pig race, which was very entertaining to watch, rode many rides, played games, ate fried Oreos (my favorite), and saw the fireworks while riding the Ferris Wheel to end the night! It was my first time at the State Fair Meadowlands, and I had such a wonderful time. It gave me a very nostalgic feeling of my childhood. I would recommend anyone to check this Fair out. You will have an exciting time! Again, it comes around every year, so try to catch it next year! With all the fun I had, I think it may become an annual thing for me too!
