The New York Times Travel Show

In January, I had the pleasure of being invited to The New York Times Travel Show. It was a three-day event that took place at the Javits Center in Manhattan; however, I was only there for two days. I enjoyed every moment. It was truly amazing to be considered as press since I’m a newcomer to the travel industry.

The show not only introduced me to different countries to explore but was very informative with different panels and seminars on travel topics. Some of my favorites were, “Major New Developments in Travel with Arthur and Pauline Frommer,” “Global Travel Tips for Women,” “Focus on Travel Bloggers,” and “The Millennial Roundtable.” Also, they had music, dancing, cooking demonstrations, and contests for free trips.

My most memorable moment of this event was my trip to the bookstore. I purchased two books titled, “Travel the World on $50 A Day” by Matt Kepnes and “Travel Junkie” by Julia Dimon. As I was checking out, a young woman said, “Thank you for buying my book.” It was Julia! I couldn’t believe I met her! I was able to take a picture and have my book signed by her.

What an awesome time I had at The New York Times Travel Show! Please attend if you have the opportunity. Check out my pictures and video below.
