Museum Mile Festival ~

Yesterday, I attended the 36th annual Museum Mile Festival; the biggest block party on Fifth Avenue between 82nd – 105th streets where six museums opened their doors to the public for free to look at the various artwork by different artists and historical items. Those six museums included: El Museo Del Barrio, Museum Of The City New York, The Jewish Museum, Cooper Hewitt, National Design Museum, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and The Metropolitan Museum Of Art. My friend Melissa and I only got to attend two because of time and long lines. The festival was from 6 to 9 pm, which I think was not enough time to really experience the festival.  I would recommend next year they extend the time so that people can go to more museums on the list. Also, I didn’t see that many food vendors. I don’t know if that was deliberate or not because of the museum rules, so make sure you eat before you go!

If this peaks your interest, there will be another occasion like this on June 19th, 2018 in Lower Manhattan from 4 to 8 pm; this one is free too! I love free! Everyone loves free! Haha! It’s called “Night At The Museums.”  I will try to be there! Here is their website for more information: nightatthemuseums.org

Overall, The Museum Mile Festival was a gratifying event! I took a lot of pictures! Take a look!
