Washington, D.C. ~
Where laws are made and history is saved, the capital (Washington, D.C.) of the United States was the place I traveled to in late August for a getaway weekend.
I visited Washington, D.C. before with my father when I was younger but never got a chance to explore as much as I did this time. Friday, I decided to do a “Hop-on, Hop-off” bus tour with D.C. Trails to see all the monuments. My cousin Shennell and I found a cheap deal on Groupon for tickets. My day was mostly filled with sightseeing, so I didn’t get to do anything else until later that night. I went to a local bar for some dancing with more of my cousins.
On Saturday, I had to see how great my skills were at golfing, and I have to say I did quite well! (Ha, Ha) Top Golf is a “must-do” when you’re in Washington, D.C. It’s a nice setting for you, your family, and friends to enjoy a day together! Later, I enjoyed some drinks at a rooftop bar with the ladies and more dancing. I just love to dance, and it relieves stress! D.C. nightlife is wonderful, but most places close early around 2 a.m; so make sure you start early.
Sunday, I went to brunch at MadHatter, and the food was delicious. I just wish my french toast could have been larger then what I received, but they made up for with unlimited mimosas! I finished my day by walking the Washington Harbour. It was such a beautiful scene. A nice ending to my fun-filled weekend in Washington, D.C.!
